We are a transportation forwarder service provider, which, somewhat like a travel agency, arranges shipping space and optimal routes for destinations, without owning ships and warehouses. Flexibility is required to deal with complicated transportation procedures. For example, when transporting goods to a destination in the U.S., it is essential to appropriately choose and work with the most suitable courier and warehouse for local transportation. Providers of these services are generally called non-vessel operating common carriers (NVOCC). The history of this business dates back to 1984 when the NVOCC service was officially recognized. In Japan, the business was defined by law in 1992. While striving for further growth, Japan Trust will continue working on development of our human and other resources for greater customer satisfaction.

The North America route, which accounts for 70% of our sales, is supported by service contracts (SC) with all shipping companies, establishing us as a North America FCL (Full Container Load) specialist NVOCC. We conduct negotiations with all shipping companies on behalf of our clients year-round, taking on risks such as GRI (General Rate Increase), shipping company changes, route restructuring, and unfulfilled MQCs (Minimum Quantity Commitments) during the contract period. We function as an extension of our clients' logistics departments. We excel in handling oversized cargo globally, securing a large supply of special containers (flat racks, open tops) and offering competitive rates from traditional shipping companies. Thanks to our long-standing relationships with both traditional and container shipping companies, we face no space limitations, even with large shipments.

We do not own warehouses, inventory, trucks, or vessels. Instead, we propose the most suitable facilities, routes, and shipping companies according to our clients' specific needs at any given time.
